I’m so sick of people fat shaming and obese bashing.
Yes many people are fat and obese in today’s society and it’s a problem when you have various health problems and yes you will live a shorter life but if that’s your choice and your happy being fat then just own it and be happy and fat.

Here it seems a lot of people have a lot of opinions and whilst that’s okay let’s not be mean and judgemental.
Yes she’s 27 stone but she does actually work out and works and so on so who are we to have a go at her making a living and what does us being mean achieve. Nothing. I suppose if you’ve got nothing nice to say just don’t say it.
I was a big girl. 21 stones I didn’t feel happy being that size and I certainly wasn’t healthy so I changed to improve my overall health and the way I felt about myself. This was my choice.
No amount of fat shaming helped. I came to the conclusion it just wasn’t making me happy and I was fed up with carrying extra weight I didn’t need and I hated being ill all the time.
If you’re fat and happy with okay health then who is anyone else to make you change! A change should be something you want to make not something you’ve been bullied into.
Just be you, whether your fat or thin and if you want help living a healthier lifestyle follow this blog for food tips and general rants!
It costs nothing to be nice and if it doesn’t affect you why bother being mean about it.
The worlds already got enough Katie Hopkins in it.
Be nice.

The following is not directed towards you, just want to make this clear first and foremost, it’s just a representation of my opinion on the matter 🙂

That’s all great and good, seriously, I’m all for loving you for who you are, but if you for one second find yourself in a place where you think wrapping a bunch of fat around your inner organs and torturing yourself to a slow and agonizing death is healthy and that’s what makes you happy… you have issues, serious, mental, issues or just being uneducated about what fat actually does to a person. I don’t think a single fat person loves themselves (and stays fat), they might say they do, hell, they might even feel that they do, but is that slow agonizing torture really love?
I know 50 shades of grey is popular these days but… that goes up up and away from the sadomasochistic love.
Not to mention… just for the UK – the obesity healthcare costs were like what, 47 billion £ a year? As much as I’d love for all of that money to come from thin air… it comes from everyone’s taxes. So it kinda does affect everyone in the country. That’s 47 billion £ that’s away from education, healthcare and upkeep of streets etc etc – purely unnecessarily, just imagine that! You’re the one paying for this person to pursue their own dreams of dying at 40 with chocolate smeared on their lips.
And do remember.. this is coming from a morbidly obese person… I don’t want people to be bullied, or fat shamed – I’ve been there / I _am_ there. I want everyone to be respected as a person and helped in the way they need to be helped and I definitely don’t want fat to be glamoured up as a good thing, which seems to be a rather distressing way the world is heading towards these days. It worries me.
“Health at every size!” what a load of horse manure. A ticking time bomb without a timer showing is not harmless.
Meh I’m just ranting, I apologize.

Whilst I agree it’s certainly not healthy bigger people can actually be healthy to a certain point. I just think life is too short to bully people and make them feel shit. Yeah it’s not great to be overweight but some people are truly alright with being bigger. Not every one feels the same we are all different.

Yeah… I’m morbidly obese at 320lbs or so, my blood sugar is normal/optimal, my cholesterol is optimal, my blood pressure is optimal… I’m a shining beacon of health at every size, yet I think it’s stupid to think of me as a healthy person. As said, it’s a ticking time bomb, just because I haven’t ran into issues yet, doesn’t mean my luck will last forever. So I’ve made a conscious effort and choice to change – which you know, you’ve been to my blog plenty (thank you!) 🙂
To each their own though, as long as it doesn’t cause harm to others, people are free to put everything and anything they want into their bodies and do to themselves.
Though that’s a thin, thin line as to where it goes and what is causing harm to others when it comes to obesity. Especially morbid obesity, the type of obesity where you are reliant on others to engorge you with food, not the “oh on the BMI I’m classified as obese” – Full on hatred towards BMI classifications, but that’s a whole other rant 🙂
But as you said, we’re all individuals, my thoughts on it might be a bit steeper than yours, but I know we both respect each other’s opinions as they are basically the same, with slight variations in how to look at it 🙂
