Pokemum strikes again

Sorry for the long silence AGAIN! I’m gonna make this a weekly thing I’ve decided. Every Sunday evening I’m going to document my weekly finds and foods and keep on track.

Summers here. It’s been such a hot weekend. I’ve spent the weekend with my family we’ve been Pokemon hunting. Yes. We like to Pokemon and anything that encourages people to be activate is surely a good thing. Here’s me being a pokemum!! I was into Pokemon years ago the first time round so had this onesie years! It’s crazy how it’s come back so popular.

Talking of active we’ve been to the new bounce park at ferndown. Was so much fun. A big room full of trampolines! Was boiling and of course I joined in too. It’s £10 for an hour each and £2 for a pair of their socks. Kinda pricey for all of us but it was fun anyway .

Another good place we went to recently and local to us is the new forest water park for my eldest tenth birthday.
So much fun jumping on the inflatable bouncy things. Was hard to keep pulling yourself up out the water but a great hour spent. Will definitely do again.

Ive been doing macros for the last week after changing from doing strict bikini pro dieting. It wasn’t for me. I’m not good without my food. It was making me miserable.

Those flavour drops 😍 for breakfast I’ve been having 50g oats with 12.5g chia seed 100g strawberries and the drops and a protein shake. Chocolate brownie flavour from my protein is the absolute best. 😍

I’m also obsessed with prawns at the moment. Love them. So good and high in protein.

I never eat beans and toast normally but since doing my macros I struggle to get so many carbs in so I bulk up with oats, cereal and nimble bread and beans.

I’ve just discovered my protein flavour drops and I’m obsessed. I have them in oats every morning and my coffees and Greek yogurt. So nice. The best flavours are toffee, maple and white chocolate.

I’ve been doing volume training for the last two weeks and started practising my deadlifts I managed a PB for me which is 4x 100kg before I’ve only managed 80kg so I’m pleased I also managed to get a 55kg for 2 reps on chest bench. 👍 my squats are terrible though it’s my nemesis. No matter how I try I can’t activate my glutes and my knees always hurt. So working hard on this.

That face though 😂 deadlifting isn’t pretty. 😂👍

Before and after tummy tuck. I had Just a tuck with no liposuction and no muscle repair. He said I didn’t need it which surprised me after having two children. It made recovery quicker though. I still don’t like the line crease down the middle where my skin isn’t so tight but it’s a lot better then it used to be. I also have a lot of stretch mark scars still so won’t wear crop tops or things showing my tummy too much which is a shame as its the smallest part of me!! I definitely had different expectations of my tummy tuck to the reality.

Me before my tuck last year and this morning 9months post op. booty gains? DHere’s some recent photos of my progress. I weighed in this morning at 12.2 was 12.4 beginning of the week. 💪🏻I had a couple of nights off too. 😬

It’s been 9 months since my tummy tuck and I’m already wanting my leg lift done. I hate my inner thigh skin so much but it’s very expensive. The surgeon quoted me £8000! 🙀 it’s definitely something I’d have done right away if I had the money. I feel like my legs really let me down now. No matter what I do it just hangs there as a constant reminder of how fat I used to be. I hate summer because I don’t like wearing shorts. Or skirts. I live in jeans!! Honestly I own like 20 pairs. 😂
I’m starting to do body balance and yoga again to try and improve my mobility and flexibility. If anyone can recommend any good yoga videos please do! I’m so tight everywhere. Like a 90 year old lady 😂

I’m gonna leave you with this and I promise to be back next Sunday. 😍

Just coasting along…

Haven’t been here for a while.

First I went to Jamaica and renewed my vows to my hubby on our first year anniversary. It was gorgeous and we made some lovely new friends.

It was amazing the weather was glorious. The sandals experience wasn’t a good as our wedding year before, standards had slipped it seems but we still had fun. Even climbed up a water fall this time.

Felt good to return with a new tummy and boobs!

I went to Portugal with my best friend Hannah two weeks ago too so I’ve been pretty busy lately.

As you can see I’ve still been eating healthy and actually have started to follow macros. I’m finding its working a treat and I’ve already lost over 10lbs bringing me down to 12.4 today. I’ve been working hard in the gym recently and have been in touch with a professional coach whose going to be giving me a structured workout plan and nutrition to follow for my dream body. He’s helped a woman I follow on Facebook whose been through the same journey as I do expect to achieve similar things!

Amazing results in 16 weeks. She’s very committed and so will I be. I can’t wait to start!

I’m currently looking like this.

Hoping to slim down and get more muscle definition in my legs and tummy area. Will do progress photos and keep blogging along the process. I feel recently although I’ve worked hard I’ve been coasting along a bit so this is why I’ve got myself a coach. One day I hope to even compete like Claire has.
I think realistically it will takes years to achieve but I’m hoping to eventually look as good as celeste Bonin! Absolute body goals. Not everyone likes this look and that’s okay. I’m not doing it for everybody else. I’m doing this for me. To compete against myself. To improve my body for my own personal satisfaction and approval. I don’t judge others on what they like and I’m far too busy and concerned with my own goals to critique others.  Different strokes for different folks 🙂

Macros have been really good for me to follow recently as my weight has gone down by 9lbs and be been able to eat sort of what I want within limit.

Anyways. Start of a fresh week tomorrow.

Have a pt session on my legs and bum to do and dropping Charlie our cocker off to his first grooming session! 😉

Have a great week everyone. Xx

Ps: I love a Monday since being a game of thrones addict. I do some fasted cardio on my spin bike whilst watching it. Makes time pass so quickly!

Let’s get back to it. Month to the Christmas works do!

So I always tend to lose the most weight over the winter period I don’t know why maybe it’s because it’s the festive period and I know I’m going to be treating myself and I have a works do for my husbands company to attend and want to look nice also my birthday is January and I like to buy a nice dress for that too.

So tomorrow is Monday. I haven’t been to the gym since Tuesday 🙀 I have allowed myself a week off because I seemed to pick up what I thought was an infection in one of my tummy tuck stitches but it turns out it was spitting. Where the stitch comes out to the surface. Sometimes can become infected and needs to be cut off. Once a stitch comes into contact outside the body it won’t dissolve. My scar was very bumpy and red also irritatable so I’ve had the week off. Fall out 4 came out this week so that’s saved me from going mad not exercising this week!

Here is the scar last week was really painful..

This was the scar 2 days ago
It’s still a bit red tonight as I’ve just massaged it and it’s healing but hopefully this is the last problem il have with this. I’ve been really good healing wise and loving my new shape went shopping for a Christmas dress for the works do and so many dresses were lovely. I didn’t have to tuck my excess belly skin into my pants or wear a ridiculously push up padded bra for the first time in a long time. All the size 12 dresses fitted. Was the first time I felt really positive about myself since the surgery.

I’ve been more relaxed this week with eating but tomorrow is back to being strict a long with exercising everyday again.

Here are some of the things I’ve been eating this week.

I found this new dessert recipe!

  Amazing it’s simply
1 Egg

2 spoons peanut butter

1/8 spoon baking powder

Mix together until a batter like substance in a mug or a bowl then microwave for 1min 30 seconds. Voila! I topped mine with strawberry and chocolate choc shot. I have just ordered some my protein chocolate syrup and maple syrup. Cannot wait for that to come!

Being fat is more than just a physical thing. It’s mental as well.

So today I went for a really long walk 5.5 miles actually and be 13 days post op probably shouldn’t have pushed myself that far but just to get out and exercise and to be back to some sort of routine was nice today. I had a lot of thinking time. I thought back to the times when I was really obese.

Being Fat isn’t just a physical thing it’s very much a mental thing too. People don’t wake up one morning and think oh I’m going to be fat today. Most people get fat when they’ve used food as a comfort blanket after the loss of a loved one or a incident that’s left horrible memories such as sexual abuse or not feeling loved enough. It’s much more a mental thing then you think. So before you go fat shaming someone maybe try and get to the bottom of their problem before judging. Not everyone who is overweight is a fat slob. Depression can make you gain weight. Feelings of hatred for yourself. I look back to when I was 15 and my body was beautiful. I was going through puberty and had curves and breasts and tight skin I was a perfect weight for my height and even then I was desperately unhappy with myself. I wish I could of gone back in time and told myself to appreciate my body and look after it in the years to come. Unfortunately I don’t have a time machine but what I do have is determination and motivation. This is what helped me shed the ten stone originally. Sometimes I have 100% of it. Sometimes I lose my way for a little while. Now that I’ve come this far I can never go back. I want to inspire others. I want people to use me as their motivation. I want to help others realise that it can be done and it will make you feel better. My knees don’t hurt as much, my feet don’t swell like they use to. I now have one chin instead of ten. I can walk far without getting breatheless, I can keep up with my young children. All things I can do now that I couldn’t before. Mentally I’ve grown up a lot. A lot of hurt lays in my past and I still have a lot to over come mentally but I’m getting there. It’s slower for my mental progress than my physical progress.

It takes time for your mind to catch up with your body. Start fixing who you are inside and tackle your problems before going head on into physical change. It will make your journey easier for you.

These are just my thoughts for today.

Over 12,000 views ❤️

Just a huge Thankyou to everyone that keeps up to date with the blog and takes the time to read it. It means so much to know it’s getting 1000s of views a day now! Your input means a lot to me. So a huge Thank you!

Couple of progression photos 2010 compared to yesterday!

I’m still swollen up a bit but it’s nice to be able to fit in some of my clothes and actually boobs instead of spaniels ears escaping from my armpits! 😂 I’m feeling so much more confident about myself already approaching my 30s than in my 20s. I’m hoping I’m like a fine wine and with maturity comes better tasting wine or looks 😜

Have a great Tuesday everyone and thank you again! ❤️

New body! I finally have boobs!

So it’s day five and it’s been a great five days. The pain has been minimal and the healing has been really great. Here are the photos from the day of the op.

This is me pre op the morning I woke up ready to go in and these are the afternoon night of the surgery.

I stayed in hopsital for two nights at the Nuffield in Bournemouth. The care was amazing and the nurses were fantastic. I’m so pleased with my results already. My boobs and tummy only took the surgeon two hours to do! Dr Whitworth really is an amazing surgeon. I was so nervous and I haven’t experienced much pain. I’m tender and sore and wearing a sports bra and binder 24/7 but it’s not that uncomfortable. Day one I found myself being able to stand upright and walk around okay. Every one progresses at different stages I’ve been fortunate I’m healthy and it’s been really a good recovery so far. I am missing the gym loads though! Can’t wait to get back. I’ve been eating really good too. Lots of protein and clean foods. I want my body looking amazing and feeding it the right fuel will defintely help.
Today I’m five days post op and here are my results.

Really not bad for five days right!

Can’t wait for it to heal so I can start massaging the scars.

Here’s just some photos I’ve taken the last few days I went for a four mile walk yesterday and a three mile today. My nurse has told me not to do more than a mile a day at moment now so I’ve got to slow down and become better at resting I’m surprised at how good I feel after surgery. I’m so glad I went through with it. It’s nothing like I thought it would be.

Here’s a card my little sister made. So funny!

Also look at those meals! The hopsital food was so good!

Anyway time to settle down and rest

Anniversary and anxieties!

Today is my 6 month wedding anniversary to my gorgeous husband Gary. It’s been an amazing 6 months already but last week we booked to go back to the place we got married Montego Bay Royal Caribbean sandals in Jamaica to celebrate our first year of marriage. I cannot wait. So exciting and to top it off I have 4 days until my surgeries. Hopefully by then I will have had six months to fully recover and heal and have the body I’ve always wanted and have worked hard for!

Today I got up early and did my body pump class to get it out the way early to free up the day to spend with the hubby. I’m addicted to exercise and the next six weeks of recovering are going to be the hardest. I love the gym and fitness. So far we’ve spent the day at the beach and walked for a couple of hours in the gorgeous weather and had a delicious lunch. Tonight we are having dinner by the beach too. 🙂

This week I have been going at it at the gym and classes like a mad woman. Trying to cram as much exercise as I can before having to stop for a while. Locally to us in Moors Valley they have a fitness trail which is about 2 1/2 miles long and has 10 exercise stations to don Gary and I had fun doing it last night.

Considering it’s free it’s fantastic. Gary’s already got sore legs from the squatting.

I tried a new recipe the other night. Chicken breasts covered with pesto, then tomatoes, then bacon and finally cheese at the end. Was amazing.

Gary loved it and he’s fussy!
My friend Naomi wrapped me with her it works wraps the other day. The photo is before and 72 hours after. Such a difference.

 Off to eat!

It’s my birthday tomorrow!😬😬😬

Cottage cheese and grapes quick protein hit and also healthy 👍

Today I went for brunch with one of my oldest best friends Sean. We went to Wetherspoons and we ordered eggs Benedict’s. I was a bit naughty and even ate the muffin but considering all im eating later is soup il take that hit! Going to do some body pump at home in a bit as have a poorly girly and can’t make it to the gym. Also going to aim for at least a 4 mile run. I’ve really been slacking lately. :-/ went to primark and bought some size 12 jeans! Yay. With primark I find you always have to go up a size but not today I didn’t. 🙂

Saw these awesome disney princess work tshirts how cool are they! Ariels my favourite princess but I love the weightlifting ones! Amazing.

2015/01/img_8074.jpg
Found these in my local lidl not entirely clean but healthier than a bag of crisps so gave one a go and it was actually quite lovely. I love hazelnuts.
Tonight’s dinner will be a soup dish again just to undo the last of the damage from the weekend. I got home and had gained 4lbs from Friday to Sunday! Some one had a good time haha! I’ve already lost 2 so only 2 to go to be back to where I was.
Went to get measured for my wedding dress yesterday but typical ladies problems started so will have to wait a week for the bloat to go.
It’s amazing just how much water and weight you hold when your on your monthly period. I can gain up to half a stone some months! Mental. Anyone else seem to gain just before or during? It makes me lethargic and not want to exercise either but it’s probably the best thing for you if you get the cramps! Also helps lighten my mood. I get into super bitch mode the week before and during. I feel sorry for my man. 😂
My glossy box came yesterday and it was a really good one.

Five full sized things! Will review later when I’ve tried them all but this definitely beats the Birchbox I got this month.

2015/01/img_8016.jpg
It was still quite nice but definitely not as good as the glossybox. If I had to choose between them every month at the moment Glossybox would be the one Id stick by. 👍 the items are generally better and more suited to me and better sized.
Have a good day

Lush hair henna. CaCa Rouge.

For years and years I’ve damaged my hair dying it repeatedly until it was in such bad condition it stopped growing completely and just broke off! A couple of years ago I found Lush Henna in CaCa Rouge. It’s natural no nasties and smells like hippies!
Since I’ve been using it my hair is a fantastic red/ginger which is close to my original hair colour and I love how it changes in the light.
I recommend if your hair is fried to give this a go they come in other colours. Brown and black.

2015/01/img_7870.jpg

It comes in a block of six and I find two cubes covers my hair sufficiently ( I have shoulder length hair ) so for £7 I get three lots of dye.
The way I do my henna is to grate the blocks in a cheese grater and make it into thin granules. I add some cupboard spices such a turmeric and paprika as it makes my colour even more red and vibrant! mix it with boiling hot water and stir it with a wooden spoon until it comes to a sort of muddy consistency like cowpat. I then put it in a pan and put some heat on it the hotter the better it takes to your hair. Please cover everything because this will get messy and also use Vaseline to protect your forehead and ears staining and then I cover my whole head with cow pat like mixture.
(Use gloves)

2015/01/img_7871.jpg

2015/01/img_7872.jpg

2015/01/img_7874.jpg

After covering my head I wrap my head in cling film and a towel to keep the heat in. The hotter it’s kept the more vibrant it will come out for you. I keep it on for two hours and then blast in periodically with the hair dryer for extra heat. After two hours wash it out. It will take ages for the henna to come out so use a lot of shampoo to help it out. Remember to condition well afterwards then dry and style like you normally would. My hair came out so red this time and I’m happy with it. It will get even more redder over the next 72 hours as it oxidises! So if at first yours isn’t amazing it will develop more so do not fear.

2015/01/img_7884.jpg

2015/01/img_7883.jpg
Here is my hair it’s still a bit damaged and needs a cut but the colour is so bright! I love it and it hasn’t hurt my hair at all. I would never go back to home dying or bleaches again.
If your running out of options for your damage hair but still need to dye it for your greys or just because you fancy a change definitely give this a go!

👍amazing product.

Not just clean eating but also clean hair! 👌
